Our unique urban-rural location enables guests to explore the area’s natural wonders and miles of picturesque trail ideal for hiking and picnicking. With 187-acres of high chaparral-swathed woodland, the Will Rogers State Historic Park in the Pacific Palisades epitomizes the savage beauty of southern California and is perfect for day-trips or afternoon outings.
Visitors can explore the home (1924-1935) of Will Rogers – the famous humorist and writer, and see the polo field where weekend matches are still held. To the Northwest, Malibu Creek State Park, offers 5,000-acres and 30 miles of breathtaking trails inhabited by foxes, bobcats, blue herons, hawks, redwing birds and the rather more domesticated denizens of stage and screen.
And if you're in the mood for a little star sighting (and incredible city views) head to Runyon Canyon at the base of the foothills just West of Hollywood. Here, you can hike (dogs are allowed too) and you may even run into one of the many celebrities who frequent this area because of the proximity to the hills.
