Hollywood is synonymous with the movie industry. It is a district in Los Angeles to the North West of Los Angeles. On of the most famous venues in Los Angeles is the Dolby Theatre formerly the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood a 3,400 seater venue which holds the annual Academy Awards also known as the Oscars in a deal which runs until 2033. Since September 2011 the Dolby Theatre has hosted the Cirque du Soleil show Iris. Guided tours of the theatre run 7 days a week subject to availability.
Universal Studios Los Angeles is a major family attraction. Other tourist landmarks include the Chinese Theatre, Hollywood and Highland entertainment complex, Hollywood star pavement and of course the Hollywood sign. Hotel Bel-Air is situated 8.5 miles from Hollywood in the exclusive hills of Bel-Air in Los Angeles.
